Description
From www.gondolas4all.com:
“Historically, Venice has always been regarded as a cosmopolitan city, open to any kind of visitor, but, as it is today, it does not grant a disabled person– whether he/she be a tourist or a local citizen– the possibility of riding on a gondola and enjoy the city on this fascinating means of transport.
The project “Gondolas4all”, which entails the participation of multiple partners, has been conceived by the gondoliers who work at the docking poing next to Piazzale Roma. The project aims at remedying this lack of opportunity for disabled people, resting on the conviction that Venice, a World Heritage site, should really be a “common good”, with its beauty and uniqueness accessible to everyone.”
