Accessibility Information
From azraft.com: Through the years, we have accommodated persons with varying disabilities in Grand Canyon in many ways. We mainstreamed an adult with Autism and Down Syndrome due to her outdoors experience and swimming ability. A couple of years ago, we had a group of family and friends reserve an entire motor adventure for their teenage son who was confined to a wheel chair and diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Annually, we run trips with visually impaired youth and adults. Additionally, we ran the Wounded Warriors adventures, in which the military veterans had varying levels of physical and emotional disabilities. For those who can mainstream on a standard adventure, we make sure to chat with all parties involved about the physical and demanding nature of our adventures to ensure we find the best fit. For those in a wheelchair needing some additional accommodations, we can add a ramp to the motor boat so the wheelchair can get on and off easily, we can provide a chariot system to assist with getting the wheelchair on hikes, as well as a specialized toilet system and tracks for the sand for movement around camp.
