Description
This trail is one of 67 wheelchair accessible trails across Switzerland described on the Mobility International Switzerland website:
The route from Pontresina alongside the River Flaz to Beve is a real treat for the eyes. Surrounded by the majestic Engadin mountains and the wide, flower-filled valley, you follow alongside gently murmuring waters. From the starting point in Pontresina, the route leads you through splendidly luxuriant and wide meadows with breathtaking views over this partly rugged region. The mountains make a majestic backdrop and the route leads through varied vegetation. You soon reach Samedan and continue the route along the Flaz. On the banks of the river flowers and plants blossom in vibrant colour in the middle of the plain that holds the Engadin Airport. A gaze into the distance reveals a veritable sea of flowers in gently rolling countryside. You find yourself in quiet solitude. Even the river flows along quietly and contentedly. The charm and authentic, wild nature of this peaceful region holds the promise of pleasant relaxation and peace. The next station is Bever, where you cross a bridge and pass yet more beautiful valley scenery before you reach the attractive village.Accessibility Information
