DWA is an organisation with a national perspective taking responsibility for development of disability winter sport in Australia. Through building the capability and capacity of a National Sport System, including accountability at the national level, we provide members with technically sound sports programs, policies and service. DWA’s Resort Services Program at Mt Hotham offers the support for both members and resort stakeholders around adaptive snowsports and disability. As a DWA member you can request and book adaptive equipment and request a volunteer adaptive snowsport guide (if available). Mt Hotham has a DWA Resort Services Coordinator who is a central point of contact for information related to disability services specific to Mt Hotham for: – Resort stakeholders, accommodation providers, snowsport schools, hospitality, lift companies – People with a disability, their families and friends who are wanting to come to the resort – DWA volunteers

If you have a permanent disability and are heading to the ski fields, then being a member can help you financially and it gives you access to our equipment, pathways, programs and a number of other benefits. DWA members (excluding associate members) enjoy a concession of up to 50% of any full day lift ticket in any resort in Australia. Also as a member if you require an escort/guide whilst on snow and this is marked on your membership card, you are entitled to an additional up to 50% concession on another full day ticket for them to use. Member Service Benefits - Lift Pass Concessions: DWA members (excluding associate members) enjoy a concession of up to 50% of any full day lift ticket in any resort in Australia. Also as a member if you require an escort/guide whilst on snow and this is marked on your membership card, you are entitled to an additional up to 50% concession on another full day ticket for them to use. - Snowsports Instruction Concessions: DWA members (excluding associate members) enjoy a concession of up to 50% on Adaptive Snowsport lessons at all resorts in Australia. - Volunteer Adaptive Snowsport Guide: Volunteer guides who have been trained by DWA are provided to members on all Members Camps. Guides can also be requested by any member who is travelling to our Alpine resorts and requires the extra assistance. Please note however, all of these amazing Guides are Volunteers meaning availability cannot be guaranteed. - Adaptive Equipment: Equipment such as sit skis, and outriggers allow people with disabilities the opportunity of enjoying Australia's alpine resorts. As a DWA member, skiers and riders have access to this specialised equipment to use while on snow. This is always subject to availability. Mt Hotham, with the support of DWA, has launched the nation's first Resort Disability Visitors Guide to assist guests with disability on how to use the services for disability at Mt Hotham. You will find hard copies at the Mt Hotham resort management office for to use or you can download a copy.
