Sydney-sider Glenn Kesbah created The Sydney Wheelchair Walks website as a guide to exploring scenic paths/walking tracks around Sydney by electric wheelchair. The website has a map, notes and photographs of each walk From the Sydney Wheelchair Walks website: One of the best ways to see Sydney is by Rivercat or Ferry.There are many scenic foreshore & coastal paths/walks to go on , and all ferries are wheelchair friendly. Most buses are also equiped with ramps for easy drive on access. Parramatta Foreshore walk Catch the rivercat to Parramatta ( you may need to change at Rydalmere). Follow the scenic path along the river "Harris park heritage trail" Visit historic buildings like "experiment Farm" , where James Ruse - ( i am a desendant of him) grew the first successful crops / farm for the first fleet colony. Old Govt house is located in Parramatta Park. Parramatta Park is fantastic . Follow the coloured river walk reading the plaques about colonial early days. You cannot get up the stairs near the Tourist info centre so go back and cross over the small footbridge up the road and around to "Church" st where there are lots of cafe's , cross the 1839 sandstone Lennox bridge and follow the ramp next to the "riverside theatre" along the river past the weirs . Explore the old dairy & Govt House .
