Mobility Information:Does HMT have a lift?
"No. As a heritage listed building it is vital that we maintain the history and grandeur of the theatre as it appeared when it was first built. Therefore, unfortunately we are not able to install a lift.
As there is no lift at HMT we strongly recommend that any patrons with mobility concerns purchase tickets in the Stalls."
Does HMT have disabled access and toilets?
"Yes. Wheelchair access is via the left-most doors of the main theatre entrance on Exhibition Street and a disabled toilet is located in the vestibule off the Stalls foyer, near the Male Restrooms.
There is space allocated to leaving walking frames and wheelchairs (if you are able to transfer into your assigned seat) and the ushers will return them to you at the interval and end of the performance."
