Events, whether big or small, can often overlook accessibility given their temporary nature, but there are many things you can do to make your event more inclusive. Watch our discussion on how to make your event welcoming to everybody with accessibility experts, event organisers and venues who have embraced accessibility.

Georgie Martin – Georgie has worked in the hospitality and live music industry for 15 years. Her current role is the People and Culture Coordinator for The Corner Group (CG Live) which is an independent pub group with two live music venues; Corner Hotel Richmond and Northcote Social Club , and one pub/restaurant, The National Richmond. The Corner Group is passionate about inclusivity, diversity and sustainability and works closely with our venues and key stakeholders in the industry to bring these topics to the forefront of our operations and relationships.
Summer Farrelly – Summer is a 15-year-old Autistic Advocate, Public speaker, Inclusion & Education Consultant, Artist, Animal Assisted Learning Program Creator & Facilitator, Animal Therapies LTD Ambassador and A List Ambassador. Having a late diagnosed autistic mother, two autistic brothers and lived experience as an autistic individual and living within a family that consists of multiple autistic members, each with their own complexities, provides both a relatable and diverse perspective. For the last 5 years they have been sharing their personal insight and perspective as someone who lives with daily challenges related to Dyslexia, ADHD, PTSD, Depression and Anxiety. Julia Svaganovic – Julia is GetAboutAble’s current AITCAP Coordinator and former communications manager. She is an experienced event planner and a full-time power wheelchair user. Among other projects, she co-founded the @WeAreDisabled Twitter project which was created to give Deaf and Disabled people a platform to speak about their lives, experiences and disability issues. She also serves on the committee of Powerchair Sports Victoria.
