“A visit to the Royal Australian Mint is a unique experience accessible to everyone.
Head upstairs to our factory viewing area to see where the coins are made. Titan the robot is often dancing, even when the factory isn’t producing coins. Interactive touchscreens explain the coin making process and videos take you even closer to the action! Take a walk through our galleries of rare and significant coins, and watch a short film on our history.
Downstairs you can mint your own $1 coin (cost is $3), browse the coin shop and enjoy refreshments at the café.”

"The Mint offers a suite of programs which can be enjoyed by all visitors. These range from pre-school programs, school holiday programs, family tours, public talks, special events for exhibitions and quiet mornings.
If you would like to participate in a program and want to discuss accessibility requirements, please contact us. We encourage teachers or group leaders to contact us in advance if a student or participant has access requirements so that we can inform our staff and tailor the program accordingly."

Mobility Information:"A ramp leads into the building and the main foyer and shop are accessed through automatic doors. A lift is available for access to the first floor viewing areas.

Vision Information:"For visitors who are blind or have low-vision, please let the Visitor Experience Host at the Front Desk know and they will happily provide you with a Braille Guide.
For students who are blind or have low vision, we have a set of touchable objects that can be incorporated into the standard school offering. Please let us know in advance so that we can have the activity prepared for the student. Phone 02 6202 6900 and ask for the Education and Visitor Services Team or email with your booking number."
Hearing Information:"For visitors who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, we have available gallery booklets to utilise during your visit or on the public tour. If you feel comfortable, please identify yourself to the Visitor Experience Host taking the tour so that they can assist you in moving to the front of the group.
Additionally, we have touch screens in the factory viewing area that can provide additional information.
We are currently developing a new Auslan Tour offering."
