Our parking area, entrance booth, change rooms and toilets are also wheelchair accessible. Dedicated drop-off zones for guests with mobility restrictions are located right outside our park entrance, with clearly marked dedicated parking for vehicles displaying a Disability Parking Permit.
Gumbuya World offers barrier free, step free access throughout our park for all ages and abilities. Our two cafes are wheelchair accessible, and also cater for most dietary requirements, including vegetarian, gluten free and vegan. We also offer regular rest seating throughout Gumbuya World.
Gumbuya World welcomes guests holding a Companion Card (http://www.companioncard.gov.au), and the card entitles one (1) free of charge companion entry so your companion can provide care and support during your visit. Guests with a physical disability or impairment may consider visiting Gumbuya World with someone who is able to physically assist them if required.
Guide, Hearing and Assistance Dogs are welcome in Oasis Springs, Oz Adventure and Outback Explorers, including our cafes. Unfortunately though, we cannot accommodate them on our slides/rides/attractions. We request that dogs wear their working vest to identify their role at all times.
Oasis Springs.
Our amazing water park Oasis Springs offers barrier free, step free ramp access to the Aquaplay section, allowing level entry wheelchair access to guests with mobility impairment. Our two heated pools offer ramp entry, and our Lazy River is also accessible to certain mobility challenged guests. We do request that a carer is always within arms reach should you choose to participate in this section of Oasis Springs. Our change rooms within Oasis Springs provides a large space allowing you to change in comfort. There are also wheelchair accessible toilets at both ends of Oasis Springs. All doorways are 900mm wide for ease of access.
Wildlife Trail.
Our tranquil Wildlife Trail is step free with pathway access to all areas. Viewing windows have been strategically placed to allow all our guests the best experience possible when viewing our various animal species. We endeavour to make our Animal Experiences as accessible and inclusive as possible, however there are certain exhibits that are not suitable for wheelchair access. We are able to offer alternative experiences and would be pleased to discuss these with you. Guests using a wheelchair who wish to book an Animal Experience are invited to contact us at info@gumbuya.com.au or (03) 5624 9888, and we will endeavour to make arrangements to provide equivalent animal experiences.
Oz Adventure and Outback Explorers.
Our Rides attractions are situated amongst scenic bushland with numerous tables, seats and grass areas all accessible for guests with specific accessibility requirements. Many of our rides and slides generate strong physical forces or are subject to safety regulations that may limit their use by guests with certain accessibility requirements.
