Music For Canberra offers individual and group instrumental tuition, orchestral groups including the Canberra Youth Orchestra and James McCusker Orchestra; childrens choirs and adult singing groups including the Canberra Childrens Choir and senior choir, Seasoned Voices; string ensembles for youth & adults; a large program of music classes for people living with a disability; and rock band tuition programs for youth & adults.

Our Mixed Abilities Program of music groups designed for adults living with disability, use the powerful (and fun!) medium of music to encourage participants to develop skills in coordination, concentration, social interaction and gain self-confidence. The tutors for this program are music educators and professional musicians with experience working with people with diverse needs, engaging with musical genres & instruments from many cultures. Participants attend these group sessions with their support workers, who are expected to play an active role in the class. Classes are held at Ainslie Arts Centre and Tuggeranong Arts Centre (Belconnen Arts Centre or other venues can be arranged by special request contact us to discuss).
