Description
From Accessible Accommodation’s 5 Kid-friendly, Wheelchair Accessible Reasons To Holiday In Tathra: Tathra Surf Club has a beach access wheelchair available on request, enabling wheelchair-using visitors, or if you have trouble getting in the water to enjoy the surf. The Tathra Surf Lifesaving Club will make the chair available during surf patrol times. I do strongly recommend booking well in advance, as this is a popular activity during peak times. From the Saphire Coast website: Tathra Beach has ample space for summer days and is patrolled from the October Long Weekend to April. Tathra Beach also has a beach wheelchair, with floats, that is available during patrols, or by appointment. The southern foreshore is lined with cafes and shopping, a skate park and children’s play ground. The southern end of the beach end is home to the Tathra Beach Surf Club, and is the only beach south of Mollymook to be patrolled seven days a week until the end of February. It also has off leash areas for your pets. Mogareeka, at the northern end, has a beautiful estuary for wave-free swimming.
