Description
Nippers is for children aged 5yrs+ at September 30 (i.e. if aged 9, then you will be in U10), and occurs every Sunday (from October to March) between 9:00-10:00am. Parents/Guardians need to sign their child in no later than 8.45am. Participation in Nippers can only occur after the child has been signed in. Parents/Guardians need to also sign their child out after Nippers concludes. During the season there are Twilight Nippers on a Saturday afternoon; check out the Nipper calendar for dates. Nippers focuses on both surf education and fun.

From the Inclusive Beaches website: Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) is excited to be working Surf Life Saving Australia, to make beaches and Surf Life Saving Clubs (SLSCs) more inclusive for people with disabilities and on the autism spectrum. We will be working with a number of SLSCs to develop training workshops and inclusion techniques for Age Managers and members on patrols. Building capacity within SLSCs is our goal, so that surf life savers can confidently support people with a disability within their club. The Inclusive Beaches website also has video and visual resources that families can use at home to help prepare for Nippers or reinforce learning (see link below). Nambucca Heads SLSC is participating in the Inclusive Beaches Nippers program.
