“Bondi Beach is world renown and a major tourist destination year round. It is estimated that 2.6 million tourists visit Bondi each year. On hot summer days, there can be as many as 30 – 40,000 people enjoying the beach and surf.
Bondi is a great place to visit year-round. The southern end is popular with experienced surfers, while the northern end is more swimmer-friendly.”

Mobility Information:"Bondi Park and promenade can be accessed from both the main entrance on Campbell Parade and from the northern end of the beach. The promenade provides level access to view the length of the beach.
Access to the beach is from a ramp located at the northern end of the beach, close to Wally Weekes children's pool.
Access onto the beach can be impacted by high seas, surf and sand conditions. We highly recommend checking conditions and availability of equipment before your visit on the day."
Transport & Parking
"Mobility parking bays are located on Queen Elizabeth Drive, near Bondi Pavilion and Ramsgate Ave, close to the accessible amenities at the northern end of the beach.
Bus stops on Campbell parade are located near the main entrance. 333 buses are accessible and frequently run between the city and Bondi Beach."
Beach wheelchairs

"The beach wheelchairs are located in lockers on the promenade at the northern end of the beach. The lockers provide a secure place to store your own wheelchair while enjoying the beach.

Beach matting
"A portable beach access mat provides independent access to the beach for people who prefer to use their own wheelchair or mobility aid. The mat also provides improved access for everyone, such as families with prams and strollers.
The mat is rolled out three times per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8am to 1pm (surf and weather conditions permitting) at the northern end ramp of Bondi Beach, near Wally Weekes pool."
Toilets
"Accessible and ambulant toilets are located at the North Bondi amenities, close to the accessible ramp and beach wheelchair storage. Accessible toilets are also located at Bondi Pavilion."
Showers
"An outdoor shower is located alongside the beach wheelchair storage locker to enable people to wash away sand before transferring back into their own wheelchair.
An accessible shower and change room is also located at Bondi Pavilion. To unlock the door use a MLAK key or ask staff for assistance."
