In The Hanging Garden is a cultural neighbourhood, hosting an ever-changing roster of events in the Garden, Cathedral, Altar, High Altar, Odeon Theatre or across all the spaces at once.
Encompassing nearly an entire city block in the centre of Hobart, In The Hanging Garden is a live music and cultural precinct, featuring music venues and an extensive tiered beer garden with kitchens and bars.
We cater for all sorts of gatherings, from casual group bookings to large-scale functions.
We’re committed to creating a space that is welcoming, safe, and accessible for all.

General accessibility information:Guide dogs, service dogs, and companion animals are welcome in our venues. Water bowls are provided.
Mobility accessibility further information:The Garden: is fully accessible from both 112 Murray Street and the Watchorn Street entrance. There is one accessible toilet.
High Altar: is not accessible by wheelchair at this time.
Odeon Theater: Assisted level-access is available via Liverpool Street.
Cathedral Level: access is via the Liverpool Street laneway only.
Altar: Level access is available from 112 Murray Street via the black and white laneway leading to the Garden.
Seating: In The Hanging Garden has a mixture of standing and seated spaces. If you require assistance with additional seating, chairs can be arranged for you and your group.
Vision accessibility further information:There is braille signage and tactile ground surface indicators throughout the venue.
