Playground
Fruit Crate Multistation
"The tall climbing and sliding structure stands in the centre of the site with access for wheelchairs to the first level. The tall internal net challenges climbers that dare to ride the slide; the design of the net ensures the climber’s skills to reach the height of the top level.
If children need a moment away from the hustle and bustle of the playground there's a sensory room off a ramp from the multistation where sound is diminished and they can do some calming art on the chalkboard (BYO chalk). In time a vine will grow over the arbour, adding to the secluded feel."
Sand and Water Play
"On the other side to the corkscrew is the sandpit and a rocky river, providing two different sensory experiences."
Carousel
"Take a spin on the ground-level carousel which is accessible to people with mobility impairments. Children of all abilities are able to connect and play together while spinning around."
Swings
"There are a range of different swings all under bright green shade sails.
The basket swing allows kids of different abilities to swing and socialise and the unique 3-bay rope swing allows friends to swing together in unison."
Facilities
"The toilets at the playground are fully accessible and include an adult-sized change table.
Hard pathways through the playground have been designed wider to allow the easy access and manoeuverability of mobility chairs.
Accessible BBQs are installed within the playground that allow wheelchair users to easily cook.
Grassy picnic areas are also provided within the Inclusive Playground.
Ample car parking, including disabled parking, is available and allocated coach spaces make this a great group excursion location."
