General accessibility information:From www.qhotels.co.uk: Arrival At The Oxford Belfry, you will find 350 parking spaces of which four are reserved for blue badge holders, one of which is located close to the hotel's main entrance. There is also a turning circle located directly outside the main entrance for dropping off and picking up only. There is a level, paved route from the disabled parking spaces into the hotel where the main entrance has a revolving door and a power assisted side door. If you need assistance with luggage or equipment, our team are on duty 24 hours. Reception The Reception desk is located on the ground floor of the hotel in the entrance lobby. The reception desk is 108cm high although check-in can also be completed at a low desk in the reception area. The following accessible aids are available at Reception: Portable Induction Loop for use at Reception ‚ An evacuation chair is also available to enable staff to assist with the emergency evacuation of disabled guest, if necessary. To the right of the main reception is a lift to the lower ground floor for bedrooms on the ground floor or we have a slope leading round to the ground floor bedrooms. A lift is available to access the upper floors. Bedrooms The Oxford Belfry has the following accessible rooms available: Two fully accessible rooms with wide doorways, wet room with accessible wheel-in shower ‚Four accessible rooms have wide doorways, bathroom with grab rails and emergency pull cord. Public Areas There are minimal steps or slopes on the main corridors and public areas on the ground floor. All stairs can be avoided by lifts or sloping corridors. All the restaurant, bar and lounge facilities at The Oxford Belfry are located on the ground floor making them easily accessible. The public telephone is located between reception and the restaurant, on the left at the top of the corridor. All lifts have audible enunciation and tactile buttons at standard height. Accessible toilet facilities are located between the bar and the leisure club. Conference, Banqueting and Meeting Rooms The majority of our meeting rooms are located on the ground floor and are fully accessible from Reception. There are three rooms on the first floor which are accessed via the lifts, or staircase to the right of reception. Hearing loops are available upon request in advance. Lighting can be dimmed where required. Please notify your conference or banquet co-ordinator for specific seating or staging requirements. Accessible toilets are located between the bar and leisure club or off the College Lounge. Leisure Club and Spa The leisure club is located on the ground floor. A member of the leisure team will show you the facilities and assist with access to the swimming pool and spa. A dedicated accessible toilet and changing area is located within the leisure club, as well as a wheel in shower room with drop down seat and appropriate grab rails. Access to poolside is on the same level and there are steps with a handrail into the pool. Both the steam room and sauna are accessible with door widths of 85cm and 90cm respectively. Seating is provided in both. Outdoor Facilities The upper patio area of the courtyard may be accessed via the doors either side of the conservatory or from the main function suites. This is level, with paving and decking. A paved slope leads down from the upper area of the courtyard to the rear of the building (a sloping gravelled drive leads back round to the car park and front of the hotel) and the tennis courts may be accessed via a sloping gravel path. The paved external dining area adjacent to the Terrace Bar is accessible from the bar and an adjacent function room.
